Dr. Panjabi is Board Certified in Anesthesiology and Pain Management. He completed medical school from Grant Medical College, Bombay, (now Mumbai) India. He then went on to finish his Masters in Orthopedic surgery at Grant Medical College and is Board Certified in Orthopedics from Bombay University.

Dr. Panjabi relocated to the US in 1989. He completed his equivalency exams and went on to an internship in internal medicine at St. Francis Hospital in Evanston, Illinois.

Next, he finished his residency in Anesthesiology from Loyola University Medical Center in Maywood, Illinois in 1995.

He then completed a Pain Management Fellowship from University of Illinois, Chicago in 1996.

He then worked for a large Anesthesiology and Pain Management group in Tampa Bay Area, Florida until 1998. Dr. Panjabi moved to California in April 1998 where he continues to practice in Castro Valley. He has devoted his life and career to help patients sufferring from acute and chronic pain for over 11 years.

Dr. Panjabi is extremely passionate about his work with patients suffering from pain. He strives to not only help patients control and manage their pain but more importantly to improve their function. To achieve this goal he uses pharmacologic and interventional techniques as well as appropriate referral to other specialists as needed. He understands that chronic pain not only causes suffering but may affect family, social, financial and occupational aspects of a persons life and endeavors to treat paients with dignity, integrity, compassion and respect. He continues to attend conferences and workshops to keep up his pain management skills and acquire new ones.

Dr. Panjabi is a member of prominent national organizations including the American Academy of Pain Medicine, North American Neuromodulation Society, California Society of Industrial Medicine and Surgery and the American Society of Interventional Pain Physicians.

He is a Qualified Medical Evaluator and Independent Medical Evaluator.
